How sign-up details are handled

This covers the “Get updates” form on this site only. What the Openquote Care app itself sends off the computer is in the app’s own notice — the app never sends counseling records anywhere.

What is collected

• Your email address
• The news you chose (new versions and features, the macOS version) and the language of the page
• The time of sending and the IP address it came from, which the storage service records with it

What it is used for

Only to email you the news you chose. It is not passed on, sold, or used for advertising.

How long it is kept

Until you ask to stop or to have it deleted — then it is deleted without delay. If we stop sending news, everything is deleted.

Where it is kept

In a form storage service run by iyulab on Microsoft Azure (Korea Central region), which hosts it on iyulab’s behalf. Emails are sent through a sending service also run by iyulab.

Your choice

Not agreeing limits nothing on the site or in the app — you just will not get news by email.

Stop the emails and delete

Send the address you signed up with and everything registered under it is deleted.
